The ST394E uses BaByliss's patented Advanced Ceramics heating system, which brings the plates up to temperature almost instantly and keeps that heat constant and evenly distributed across every pass. This means fewer repeated strokes through the same section of hair and a more consistent, professional finish from root to tip.
Two floating plates measuring 24 x 120mm are coated in ceramic and tourmaline, giving an ultra-smooth glide that reduces friction and pulling on the hair fibre. The floating design lets the plates adjust to the thickness of each section, so pressure stays even along the full length of the plate.
An active ion generator releases negative ions during straightening, neutralising the static electricity that causes frizz and flyaways. Hair is left visibly smoother and glossier immediately after styling, with the effect lasting through the day.
Choose from six precise settings between 140 degrees C and 235 degrees C, selected using dedicated PROTECT and INTENSE buttons. The PROTECT settings suit fine, colour-treated or damaged hair, while the INTENSE settings give thick or coarse hair the extra heat needed for lasting results.
An automatic shut-off function switches the straightener off if it is left idle, reducing the risk of accidents and unnecessary energy use. A cool tip at the end of the plates also stays safe to touch, making it easier to hold and manoeuvre the iron while styling.
A 2.5m swivel cord keeps the cable from tangling as you work around your head, while universal dual voltage means the ST394E can be used in most countries without a converter. A heat-resistant mat and a plate lock for closed storage are both included, so the straightener can be put away safely just moments after use.
