The NIKON Z50II is a DX-format mirrorless camera body, sold here without a lens so it can be paired with any NIKKOR Z DX or FX lens already owned, or bought separately. It's a natural next step for photographers wanting to build a Z-mount kit lens by lens.
The Z50II uses a 20.9-megapixel DX-format CMOS sensor with an ISO range of 100 to 51200, expandable to 204800 for very low light. Continuous shooting reaches up to 11 fps in RAW or 30 fps in JPEG, backed by up to 231 autofocus points for tracking moving subjects.
A 3.2-inch vari-angle touchscreen (1040k dots) makes it easy to frame shots from any angle, including selfies and vlogging setups, while the 2360k-dot OLED electronic viewfinder gives approximately 100% coverage for traditional eye-level shooting.
The camera records 4K UHD and Full HD video in MOV or MP4 format, with support for built-in stereo or external microphones. Built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C and HDMI cover file transfer and tethered use, while a single UHS-II-compatible SD card slot handles storage.
Fn1 and Fn2 buttons can be assigned to favorite shooting functions for quick access, and the EN-EL25a rechargeable battery is rated for approximately 220 to 250 shots per charge, with USB charging supported for topping up on the go.
