A dedicated Call Block key lets you register an unwanted number in one press, whether the phone is ringing, being recorded by the answering system, or you are already on the call. Once stored, the KX-TGD620EB silently disconnects any future call from that number. Single numbers and number ranges, such as a telemarketer prefix, can both be blocked, with room for up to 50 entries in total.
The built in answering system stores up to 30 minutes of messages across a maximum of 64 recordings, with a noise reduction function and a large speaker that keep playback clear. You can use your own recorded greeting or one of the pre-recorded options, and a Greeting Only mode is available for when you would rather callers heard a message without leaving one.
With a Caller ID subscription, incoming numbers and names are displayed and logged to a 50 entry caller list, so you can scroll back through recent calls and dial straight from the list. Missed calls are flagged on the handset display until viewed, and any number that matches a phonebook entry is shown by name.
Each handset can be set to stay quiet during chosen hours, so the phone will not ring while you are asleep or otherwise unavailable. Callers stored under a VIP phonebook category can still get through during these hours, and a ring delay can be set so the handset only rings if a caller stays on the line.
Place a registered handset in another room and it will automatically call a monitoring handset, or an outside phone number, when it picks up sound. This makes it possible to keep an ear on another room from wherever you are in the house, or even while you are out.
The hands free speakerphone lets you talk without holding the handset, and the built in equalizer adjusts the sound volume of individual frequency bands to make the other person's voice clearer and more natural. Ringer and receiver volume are each independently adjustable from the handset and base unit.
